Hey guys and welcome back! The last week has been exciting + crazy with purchasing things for the sun room and actually getting them! The crazy part of the story is that my husband and I went to Home Depot to get some items and we saw a Dining Patio Set that we loved + it was on major sale! We let an employee know that this is the set we'd like to purchase so she took our cart, went to the storage area and came back with our dining set. We purchased, went to a few other places in the city before heading home. We come home, start unpacking the boxes and putting the dining set together, to then only find that we're missing half of the dining set. What should have come in our full dining set were two separate sets; 1) a dining set with a dining table + four chairs to go around it and 2) a small coffee table with two lounging chairs and two foot stools for them but instead we only got the dining table with the four chairs meant for it. We called the store, told them what happened and luckily the store wasn't closing for another three hours. So, we drove to the city, it's a thirty minute drive for us. We got to the store and we picked up box three out of three for our dining set. We drove back home, opened the box and guess what? We were missing more items; the screws to put the chairs and coffee table together! (It drove us crazy because in one day, we had to drive twice to the city for this dining set!) We called again and told them what happened. The following day I drove to the city, just for those screws and only to that store.
After picking up the screws from the customer service at the store, we got a $50 refund for the inconvenience and I drove back home. We put the tables and chairs together, what came next was the exciting part! I love decorating any space! My husband loves being handy and putting things together. The sun room is one of my favourite things about our house! It was a selling point for both my husband and me. We knew what this place could be, especially during the summer. A shaded area for family and friends to hang out while staying away from the bugs + wind. The most commonly area used in the sun room currently is the area where I drink my morning coffee and relax. Also known as the Coffee Chat Area.
I love this set and how it came with two separate sets for two different areas! It looks and feels so cozy! And it was unbelievably under $600! It only comes in one colour, this one works best for the current colour schemas in the sun room, especially because of the black colour of the borders of each furniture piece.
Later on I'd like to add an area rug out in the sun room to make the area even cozier and the floor warmer. The rugs will be large enough to just cover the coffee area. The wooden floor around + underneath the dining table will be bare. I love wooden floors! But there's just an area or two that need a rug/carpet to complete the space. Linking a few area rugs I'm thinking about.
