HEY GUYS! I know I'm a little late on this but that's a-okay! April is over and May is here! This month flew by so fast! I've been enjoying this moment in time of staying home, being able to move into our new home+decorate it. During this time home, I've been trying out a lot of beauty products and have some favourites to share.
So let's get into the beauty favourites. Some of these beauty products are new and some are my all time faves; holy grails! And when I say holy grails, they're products I've been using for more than half a year if not even more. When I find a favourite, I use it up and then re-purchase it to make sure I always have it with me.
1. Beauty Blender Total Face & Body Sponge- This beauty blender is the perfect size! It fits just right into the palm of your hand and covers enough skin at a time. This saves you time+doesn't strain your hand with extra movements to cover the whole face while applying foundation. I've been in this situation so many times! If a beauty blender is too small, it takes longer to apply foundation and you just have to keep dabbing the beauty sponge much more often from the foundation onto the face. Advice from me to you, get a bigger beauty blender!
2. Maybelline Super Stay Foundation- I, like every other woman out there wants a foundation that hides away imperfections and creates a healthy, blemish-free complexion. Maybelline has some of the best foundations out there! From medium to full coverage, depending what you're trying to achieve, BB Creams for lightweight light-medium coverage which are perfect for summertime and full coverage foundations for covering everything. This foundation stays with you for up to 24-Hours and has a wide variety of skin tone colours.
3. Benefit Cheekleaders Bronze Squad Palette- This palette has everything you need to contour+bronze the face. The palette includes 2 bronzers, 2 highlighters and 1 blush, all time favourites like Hoola and Coralista. The shades can also be used as eyeshadow whether you're going for a glowy+bronze or dramatic look. Having 5 makeup items in 1 product is awesome! It saves space in your makeup closet for more, new makeup additions. Plus, if you've only tried 1 item from that palette before buying it, it gives you a great opportunity to try the other items in it. Who knows, you might find a new favourite!
4. Ciate London Glitter Storm Eyeshadow Palette- This is one gorgeous eyeshadow palette! A variety of shades, for everyday use or day to night makeup looks. The shadows are very pigmented, a little goes a long way, blends really good as well. There's 3 shimmer, 3 mauve and 3 neutral shades.
5. E.l.f. H20 Proof Eyeliner Pen- I used liquid eyeliners before but it gave out too much product and so I kept going back to eyeliner pens. The eyeliner pen uses the right amount of product to come out of the pen, not smudging or getting onto my eyelashes, which makes applying mascara easier. It's the perfect size to fit and hold in your hand. It's also waterproof, trust me, it doesn't smudge. I've cried, laughed, walked in the rain with it and even got through windy times with it. It stayed on until it was time to take if off at the end of the day with a waterproof makeup remover. Elf is a great brand, decent prices and great products. Give it a try!
6. & 7. NARS Orgasm Afterglow Lip Balm and Liquid Highlighter- Even if you're just beginning to get into makeup, I'm pretty sure you've heard of a brand called NARS. They came out with a collection called Orgasm. This collection has everything from lip balms, lipsticks, blushes, highlighters and loose powders. My top 2 favourites from this collection are the Orgasm Afterglow Lip Balm and Orgasm Liquid Highlighter. The Afterglow Lip Balm gives the lips a nice pink tint and a glow while moisturizing them, hence the name. It's one of my must haves in my everyday purse. Now let's talk about the Orgasm Liquid Highlighter. This highlighter can be used in different ways. It can be applied with a face primer to give the skin that natural glow before applying foundation.
Now for the random favourites for April are:
1. Painting by Numbers- I've bought this a few months ago, I would paint it on and off. Never really enjoying or putting too much time into it until I've had to stay home due to the crazy world out there. Now, I would paint for almost 2-3 hours per day and this painting is on my mind all the time. I've even gone out, searching for more painting by numbers but haven't found one that I like yet. Once you really get into it, it's very addicting, like a puzzle (though not the one I currently have because it's 50,000 pieces and I'm not sure what I was thinking when I bought it!)
2. Chatbooks- If you're not familiar with this then keep on reading. One day, I saw one of my favourite influencers Casey Holmes rave about these photo books that you can make online. You can go online onto their website or download their app. Then create an account so you can sign in later to see your current or previous projects. Connect to any of your social media accounts to use those pictures or pictures from your computer can be used as well.
For social media books like Instagram, you can get 60 page books for $10+Free Shipping. It's called an Ongoing Series. Once 60 pages fill up from your Instagram, Chatbooks will automatically print the book for you and ship it to you. So basically, every 60 pictures, you get a book printed and delivered to your door. You can customize the book colour and title.
Once you've picked all the photos you'd like to have in your book (I usually use pictures saved on my computer, they have great resolution), you can edit them to have dates, location, captions. Even collages can be created from the downloaded pictures. I've already created 2 chatbooks and have 2 more in the works right now. Just need to finish editing them and then they'll be on their way to me. I'm so excited! This is a really great idea and I'm so thankful someone came up with this.
If you'd like to create a memorable photo book of your own, I have a code that you can use to save $10 off your first oder.
