Babymoon Weekend Getaway

Good morning and Happy Monday!
It was so nice to get away into the mountains for some relaxing, alone time before the baby comes in July, in other words a BABYMOON. We went up to Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park here in Saskatchewan, Canada which we absolutely loved!

Having a baby during a pandemic has definitely changed how you do things like baby showers, gender reveal parties...etc. Our original plan was to go somewhere warm but now you have to deal with quarantine upon returning back into the country or even another province so we opted for staying in our province and going somewhere we haven't been before to make it more special and memorable.

We stayed at The Resort at Cypress Hills which has hotel rooms, town houses and cabins. We decided to rent a cabin with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen to cook breakfast and lunch. The resort also has a restaurant, Ivan's Restaurant, which offers breakfasts, lunches and dinners, not included in cabin rent. We went there for dinner both of the evenings that we stayed at the resort. The prices are reasonable and the food was delicious! I got Chicken Wings one night and a Pad Thai Chicken Stir-Fry the next night.

Outdoor activities offered are skiing, snowshoeing, skating and sledding. Due to pregnancy, we only did snowshoeing which was super fun. We even ended up taking the wrong trail which took us about two and a half hours to walk instead of about an hour. Haha! Great exercise though! We will definitely be going there again, either summer or winter or both! It's similar to Banff, Alberta, Canada which has beautiful mountains and trails.
