Cozy Family Room for Christmas

Hey, welcome back!
I'm currently curled up on the couch, watching Sense, Sensibility & Snowmen on the Hallmark Channel and eating a bowl of Doritos. I love Christmas movies and all the snacks that come with it! I know they can be cheesy at times but they're always so cheerful and give hope at times that people may need it. That's the exact reason I watch the Hallmark Channel, and because it has some of the best Christmas movies out there.

I've been decorating the family room slowly, adding pieces until it was all ready to show you guys. The time is finally here, the family room is ready! I'm so excited to show it to you!

When you come in, to the left is a small caved in corner that has a Nutcracker from Walmart as well as the snowy white reindeer. This glittery reindeer looks perfect any time of the year, but it looks the best at Christmas with all of the other decorations!  The LED battery operated candles are a great addition because they flicker like real candles but you don't have to worry about accidental fires. Nobody wants that at this time of the year, or ever! The flocked Christmas tree looks great this year with the flocked theme I have going on around the family room and the "It's a wonderful time of the year" wooden sign adds to that. It all looks so magical and white! The flocked tree was bought at Homesense and the wooden sign at Dollarama.

This beautiful Christmas tree was purchased at Michael's a couple of years ago and it's still one of my favourite trees. It came with lights already but we had to take them off last year because they were not working. We decided to add a mixture of some white cold and warm lights. I love how it makes it look more magical and if we ever want to only have one colour of lights, then we just don't add it while we're decorating. Simple as that! Blue and white ornaments are from Walmart as well as the ornament flowers which have clips in the back so all you do is attach them to the tree branches and they stay on! We have cats and they love playing with all of the ornaments, including the flowers and they stay through all of their play times. Haha. This is definitely our best way of testing the tree and how good the ornaments are. Some individual ornaments purchased at Michael's are the golden chandeliers, purchased four and would have purchased more if they had them in stock while I was there years ago. Some ornaments are gifts and we always try to incorporate them in our tree, doesn't matter what the theme is. We love and appreciate our families so much!

Happy Holidays and Decorating!
